Townsend travelled to Oakhill in the second round of the Eversley County Three Rinks competition. At the half way stage all was going well with the visitors 19 shots ahead, but our hosts managed to bridge the gap and with two ends to go the match was evenly poised. Townsend then scored 13 more shots against Oakhill's 3 and therefore a 10 shot win was recorded for the visitors.

Ian Forster, Kevin Hull, Mike Cowell and Peter Armstrong won by 21-15; Bob Lawrie, Bob Padget, Gordon Williamson and Alan Charran drew 21 each, and Mike Doherty, Roger Potter, Les Perkins and Peter Thomson won by 19-15.

Townsend visited Shire Park for the weekend friendly and although the overall rink score was 2-2, our hosts won by 3 shots. The top rink for Townsend had an eventful afternoon, winning by 23-11, despite conceding a 4 on the first end and a 5 on the final one.
